4.PROJECT "E-RICK": I am happy to announce that Judge Rick Walker has decided to use of the electronic calendar call for his civil and domestic relations terms of court . We have just received the necessary software from AOC and are awaiting installation of that software by one of AOC's technology people. After that is done, I will need to download the web site files onto the office computers and give Patty and Rachel some instruction in posting Judge Walker's case information to the internet. Because the e-calendar call system has never before been expanded beyond my use, we anticipate some glitches along the way. Judge Walker has informed me that if those glitches impede the efficient use of the e-calendar call, he may choose to revert to the system he is now employing. We are hopeful that all of these potential glitches can be overcome. We are not sure how long this the process to get Judge Walker online will take (dubbed "Project e-Rick" in our Waynesville office), but I will try to keep you informed as we progress. (7/11/08)
